Expats living in Denmark
Expat Coaching – Supporting International Employees and Their Families
Feel at home - wherever you are
Moving to a new country brings a mix of opportunities and challenges. As an expat living in Denmark, you may find yourself navigating cultural differences, identity shifts, or the deep sense of being in-between worlds. This is completely normal – and you don’t have to go through it alone.
At YouMatter Coaching, I offer 1:1 expat coaching in English for international professionals and their families. Whether you are adjusting to a new job, struggling to find your place socially, or simply craving clarity and purpose, our sessions create space for you to pause, reflect, and move forward with confidence.
Expat coaching is not about fixing you – it’s about meeting yourself with honesty, compassion, and strength.
Common coaching topics for expats in Denmark
Finding your identity in a new culture
Balancing career and personal life abroad
Managing overwhelm, pressure, or uncertainty
Making big life decisions far from home
Building meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging
Rediscovering what brings joy, energy, and meaning
I’ve lived and worked internationally myself, and I understand the courage it takes to start over in a new place. Coaching is a powerful way to reconnect with your inner stability – so you can thrive, not just adapt.
Coaching sessions are held in English and can take place in person (in and around Copenhagen) or online.

It combines professional coaching with an understanding of cultural adjustment, identity shifts, and the emotional impact of being far from home. At YouMatter Coaching, sessions are designed to help you build clarity, confidence, and connection – so you can thrive, not just adapt.

Expat coaching is for international professionals, partners, and family members living in Denmark who want to feel more grounded, resilient, and at ease in their new environment. You may have just moved to Denmark or have been here for some time but still feel caught between cultures, unsure of your direction, or disconnected from yourself or others. Sessions are available in English, in person in Copenhagen, or online.

Creating a stronger sense of belonging and purpose

Not at all. Many expats in Denmark begin coaching because they feel stuck, lost, or emotionally drained – but are not sure exactly why. Coaching helps you make sense of your experience, clarify what is truly important, and take steps that feel aligned and meaningful. Whether you are seeking clarity, support, or simply a space to think out loud, coaching meets you where you are.

We usually begin with a free, no-obligation call to see if we are a good match. If we move forward, sessions last 60 minutes and can be held in person or online. A typical coaching journey often includes 5 sessions, giving us the time and space to go deeper. Each session is shaped around your goals and what feels most present for you in the moment.
